NACAC Legislative Conference
NACAC’s Legislative Conference is a wonderful opportunity for NACAC leaders and interested members to visit with their members of Congress and participate in professional development activities to prepare them for national and grassroots advocacy.
NACAC’s 2009 Legislative Conference will be held on Sunday, March 8 through Wednesday, March 11 in Washington, DC at the Washington Court Hotel.
The Government Relations Action Committee (GRAC) is excited to offer five (5) scholarships for WACAC members to attend the 2009 NACAC Legislative Conference which will be held March 8 - March 11, 2009 in Washington, DC. Guidelines:
1. Must be a WACAC member in good standing
2. Must be a NACAC member in good standing
3. Must have at least attended or registered for a WACAC Legislative Conference
4. Submit a Nomination Form and a Supervisor Letter of Support no later than January 30, 2009:
The scholarship will cover:
1. Roundtrip airfare: WACAC travelers should use coach or equivalent fare when available and are encouraged to take advantage of discounts on air tickets and purchase in advance.
2. Hotel: 4 nights' lodging expenses are reimbursed 50% of the actually incurred, but are subject to a dollar amount.

4. Transportation: Local transportation charges (bus, streetcar, taxi) are allowable to and from airport, capitol, meetings and conference.
