We are delighted to bring you the 5th Annual WACAC Legislative Conference!
As a WACAC member you have the ability to affect positive changes in local and statewide educational issues including policies and funding. At this important conference, through training and meeting with California legislators in Sacramento, you will learn more about WACAC and your role in influencing California State policies regarding college admission and college counseling. You will gain and/or sharpen your skills, which will help you in this important endeavor.

Legislative Appointments
Three to four appointments to meet your State legislator and/or their aids will be made for members who register by January 28, 2008. After January 28th, appointments will be made on space available basis. Please be sure to designate your home and work are representatives when you register. If you are unable to enter the information at the time of registration, please be sure to email , GRAC Chair.
Business attire is appropriate for meeting with legislators.

The deadline to make hotel reservations is January 11, 2008
You must call the hotel directly at (800) 233-1234 to make your reservations.
WACAC will reimburse one night’s lodging for a shared double room with another WACAC Member. You must pay for the lodging and request reimbursement from WACAC. We will explain reimbursement procedures at the conference. If you prefer a single room, WACAC will cover ½ the cost of the room expense.
Conference Meals:
Dinner on Monday and breakfast on Tuesday will be provided.
Transportation to the Conference:
Sacramento International Airport

To get to the Hotel
SuperShuttle is available for $14 per person, one way.
Taxi
If more than one person arrives at the same time, a taxi is more cost effective.
