Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management and a member of the University’s enrollment management team, the Director will oversee a staff of nine full time professional staff, including eight direct reports. The unit’s operating budget is $1.5M including personnel. Ongoing responsibilities include: formulation of admissions standards and enrollment targets; ensuring effective and professional communications with prospects, applicants, their families and counselors; development of electronic databases within the University’s Student Information System; budget management; working with faculty, staff, and administrators to develop marketing strategies and recruitment events, preparing and presenting to the Chancellor’s cabinet comprehensive reports and data analyses related to admissions trends and demographics. COLLEGE COUNSELOR

Summary:
The College Counselor reports to the Dean of Guidance and College Counseling and is responsible for administering all aspects of the college search and admissions process, including the following:
Educating students and parents about colleges, the college admissions process, trends, procedures, and testing; advising and supporting students in all grade levels and their families as they go through the college preparation and admissions process; and helping students and families aspire realistically and choose wisely.
The College Counselor will also meet with college admissions representatives who visit our campus and facilitate meetings between college representatives and our students. The College Counselor will serve as a liaison with College admissions offices throughout the year and write recommendations for seniors. To do so, the Counselor gathers information from parents, teachers, school records, and students themselves. Further, The College Counselor will complete all School Report and mid-year report forms requested by colleges on behalf of students.
