On Monday, March 3, we’ll provide you with everything you need to know to advocate to lawmakers, starting with a California 101 legislative briefing to help you understand the process, timelines, budget, bills and issues facing education in the state.
Once you’ve been briefed, it’s time to act! On Tuesday, March 4, you’ll get the chance to meet in-person with California legislators or their staff. You’ll have an opportunity to share your lived experiences helping students navigate high school completion, college access, the transition to higher education and daily job duties throughout the pandemic.

Reimbursements
- WACAC will reimburse attendees for half the cost of their single-occupancy one-night stay ($249 +/night plus taxes, etc.) or the full cost of their double-occupancy one-night stay at The Citizen Hotel for the conference.
- Attendees are responsible for their own transportation costs to and from the conference.
- WACAC will pay for parking on March 3 and 4 ($40/night).
