The Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admission plays a pivotal role in shaping the recruitment, enrollment, and retention strategies for undergraduate students at both the Hilltop and branch campuses. This position oversees key functions such as first-year and transfer recruitment, data reporting and analysis, and managing the undergraduate admission team’s application review process.
In this leadership role, the Assistant Director is primarily responsible for the outreach, recruitment, admission, and enrollment of first-year and transfer students, ensuring alignment with the University’s enrollment and academic goals. This includes the evaluation of applications and making critical admission decisions. Additionally, the Assistant Director will serve as the reading manager for the undergraduate admission team, overseeing the hiring, training, and management of the Outside Reader team each cycle.
A key focus of this role will also involve enhancing the alumni recruitment program, with an emphasis on developing and managing an effective framework for alumni volunteer involvement. This includes training alumni to conduct interviews, attend college fairs, and represent the University to prospective students, requiring strong coordination and communication to ensure consistency and alignment with recruitment goals.
Reporting to the Director of First-Year Admission and collaborating closely with the entire admissions team, the Assistant Director is instrumental in utilizing data-driven insights to inform recruitment strategies and contribute to the University’s overall enrollment goals.
